May Ziadeh

May Ziadeh (1886-1941) was an inspired, prolific Lebanese Palestinian writer.

May and Rose share Lebanese heritage. Since 2021, Rose has been making creative translations of poems from May’s debut, Fleurs de Rêve, which was first published in 1911 under the pen name Isis Copia. These are the first English translations of May’s poetry to appear in print.
